Ripping around the lake in a SeaDoo 2002 RXDI in 2023.
The SeaDoo two stroke engines were packed with power and were considerably lightweight with their lake water cooling system.
No longer sold, you can find them usually for a few hundred dollars but it can be thousands to replace the engine and get them going again. But when you do, like I did here, they really rip!

Tips for gluing the rubber surrounds onto Porsche 911 F and G body tail lamps.
Просмотров 37Месяц назад
The rear light housings for the early Porsche 911 need to be glued on. The trick is make sure the that the dimple in one side of the rubber fits the profile of the lamp housing. See inside on how to stick it together and my favorite glue is the Permatex Yellow rubber adhesive. It’s like rubber cement with a bite!
What the oil looks like in a MasterCraft Indmar V8 boat that suffered freeze damage.

This 2002 MasterCraft boat did not have the water drained from the block and exhuast risers and had catastrophic damage when the engine was frozen due to the cold spell in Texas in February 2020. The heads and blocked were cracked and this required a full engine block replacement. Since the engine was run with a cracked block, water was introduced from the cooling system into the oil. If your air cooled 911 fan belt is wearing quickly it may be due to pitting on the fan blade pulley or the half pulley causing wear. This pitting caused this fan belt to be 1/4 of the size it should have been and caused the engine to run warm. In this video we repair the fan pulley because of its expense and buy a new pulley for the outer half. Pulley: 930-106-209-02 Belt: 10x710 or 10x695 for ...

Front disc rotor replacement tip for German OEM hardware like my Porsche 911 G Body

German and other high quality disc replacements have a paint coating over the metal to prevent rust while they are sent out and on the shelf. Mine sat since 2017 and had no rust because of this coating! You’ll need to use brake cleaner or a bit of sandpaper to scuff the paint down to bare metal so they don’t gum-up your pads. Here’s what the disc needs to look like in this video… Safe motoring!

Dave interviews Joe Grand on his Trezor Crypto Wallet Hack interview from WNWS
I remember this. I think I got mine for free from Fry's, it must have been 25+ years ago. I remember having this hooked up to the computer in 2000 or 2001 at my parents old house.
I remember seeing them for the first time back in 1996. Back in school, three of my classmates each had one. My class teacher got pissed off every time they went off during class session. He got up, walked towards the owner, grabbed his pager and kept it until school ended. That was hilarious.
Please stop slamming them 🥵
This is the most 2001 thing ive ever seen All of it
If you STILL have an analog tv, lol. Channels 3 or 4 is STILL useful to play atari, or colecovision, or Nintendo NES,, or Sega games!! 😉😁😁

What is the torque specs for the water pump housing as well as the oil cooler

what are those guys doing now?
Georgia and Dave have a show about current technology RUclips.com/@WNWShow here and on all the podcast platforms.
Does the motorola bravo plus still work?
Can't find those glasses anywhere
Use a nickel sized washer (or a nickel) and tape it in... I load in/out many boats at boat shows and I move many trailers around so I have a magnetic lockout but in a pinch a coin/washer will work.
Good idea but I find they are not always thick enough for filling the space between the sliding cartridge and the frame on old used trailers!
Why don't people connect the two pieces first? It's so annoying.
Because it doesn’t matter the sequence.
😝 "promo sm"
My vehicle charges way faster than this pile of $hit. It's called charging at the gas pump.
That’s funny. But not technically accurate. I’ve got five other dinosaur burners. I get it!
My Nema 14-50 (dryer outlet as you said) in my garage gives me 32A and roughly 36mi/hr charging, just FYI.
Firstly, the adapter is included with all Teslas (no need to buy one, unless you lose it). Secondly, it's best to attached the adapter to the cable and then plug in your car (you put the adapter into the car then plugged the cable), the reason you should do it the way i suggest is that it to lowers electrical arcing risk especially if its raining out!!
I used to do it as you suggested, however, if you read the Tesla manual on how to use an adapter it suggests to plug in the adapter first and then plug the cable into it.
@@alekseykhoroshilov been trying to find this manual you are talking about without success. Can you link it to your reply to this post? If you look through any of the videos that explain how to use the j1772 adapter you will see they all do it the way i described above (maybe they are all wrong??). Eager to see this manual. :)
It's in the car screen under the settings
@@alekseykhoroshilov straight from the owners manual for a Model 3: "Tesla also offers adapters that allow you to plug into the most commonly used public charging stations in your region. At a public charge station, first attach the adapter to the station's charging connector and then plug in your vehicle." At this point I think you are trolling me, and if so well done.
@@jeremyrom here is what I have in my cars owners manual: “Charging and Energy Consumption” >> “Charging Instructions” >> Plugging In > skip first paragraph, second paragraph straight from the cars screen: “To charge at a public station, plug the appropriate adapter into the vehicle’s charging port, and then connect the station’s charging connector to the adapter. The most commonly used adapter(s) for each market region are provided….”
Annoyingly aggressive handling
These things would fly off of your belt when you unbuckled your seatbelt of your car and they’d hang on until they crashed onto the concrete. My stainless steel table is easy compared to that trauma!
I loved the invention, but was displeased with the corporation behind it and their practices. (I was only 13 when Digital Convergence was selling my data). I still use my CueCat though that I had since 2000, albeit with the encryption disabled via 5v down the secret via. ;) I use it for my electronics refurbishing business as it's my inventory scanner on a PS/2 to USB adapter either on my laptop or my smart phone.
HI Dave, I just picked up a 1982 911 sc. I have surface rust spot near the headlight ring and removed the complete light which are H4 Bosh updated. To better get to the edge with sanding and touchup, is the bottom bolt the only one needing to be removed to pull the bucket?
The bucket is welded to the fender wing, so they don’t just come out. But I’ve ordered them to weld back in however. Hope your rust isn’t a hole!
@@DaveMathews thanks. No, just light surface.
did it work after that?
100% fix!
lol I sold these at the corporate level for page-net and arch wireless… allowed me to retire at 39 :D. By the way I know all the names of them if you wanted them. I still have a 1990s glass framed poster of the bravo plus and memo express still on my wall today for memories 😂 You’re missing a few cool ones. . There was the 1.5 way (1 dot 5) pager and the p935 time port which was a clam shell 2 way. That thing was king. Used to play battle ship on it with someone 2000 miles away. Cool video 😅
I loved this show when I lived in Euless in the mid 1990's
I was 12 years old back then! Was a great show! 🙂
Hey man! What happens if there is really no gap to put anything through there? Thank you for the vid
Yours may be frozen, tug on it with a wooden block under the wheels with your truck. I suggest a FORD RANGER.
Also try WD-40 and have someone bang over top of that hole with a rubber mallet (or piece of wood with a hammer) while you slowly try moving the trailer back and forth with your vehicle... just make sure the wheels are chocked well!
I used a c clamp
I have one and i m desperatly looking for wheels !!! anybody have an idear where to find them or use other wheels that will match ?
Wow, what happened to yours? I'm sure you can find a cracked board - look on eBay for parts! Getting them from BMW is probably a lost cause.
Thank's for your answer , i actualy bought my BMW in 2000 and with time the wheels gum start to became very soft . you can cut them with your nail . So can't use it anymore . i'm probably not the only one ...@@DaveMathews
maybe we should go back to using these as nobody phones and talks to each other anymore they just message ie text.
It never happened.
Maybe some details on the implementation would help?

Super cool project....Do you have a project site for this with the details for the code etc.
How do you properly fill the cooling system afrerwards?
Fill it with the proper SeaDoo or aftermarket glycol, then run the engine which will suck the air out, turn on the hose to cool the exhaust. Turn the engine off and refill the small overflow coolant tank, then run again to get the water pump flowing to again remove air from the lines. Keep turning off and filling until it stays at the proper level for the tank. This only needed on run step for me.
Just saved my fishing trip. 🎉
Haha. Awesome! With a socket? And what did you catch?
@@DaveMathews we were headed to go fishing off the southern coat of Kona HI and couldn't get out of the driveway. I have no idea what we were catching but they came in every color and shape. Great trip thanks to this video.
I was in middle school and watched these all the time. Was must-watch for an early internet adopter like myself. I would write down all these cool sights in a spiral notebook, then realize my computer was too slow for half of the things they were talking about. I always loved Dave's backgrounds. Such a memorable show for a young DFW resident.
It was on Friday nights, and I planed my time around this show. I watched it on TV. Had 28k modem with AOL back in the 90's
Are you 100% sure the washer goes last? Mine was mounted after the leap seal and I just checked the manual and it says to place it before the leap seal and not in the last position… now I’m wondering… 😅
I agree he's got that wrong. I have an original pump that was never disassembled before. The copper washer was sitting on the brass tabs before the seal goes in.
@@braineatingalien thanks guys!! Can you post a link to the manual? My exploded drawing is missing parts.
@@DaveMathews I don't know how to drop the manual in here, but it does show the metal washer to be on the shaft before the rubber seal goes on, and not on the spring side.
Any links to a rebuild kit? I can find the bearings, not the rest
Don't throw them like that bro, be gentle
I've been looking everywhere for this information. How do you remove the raw water pump from the output shaft?
If it is f6b it’s just stuck there after you take the bolts off. I used a pry bar and it came loose.
Yeah, sometimes paint and rust locks it onto the PTO. Just pry or knock it with a beer.
